David Stone attended Dartmouth College and studied Economics and Mathematics. Since graduation in 1979, he has been active in Dartmouth’s alumni association. He has served as president of the Dartmouth College Club of Dallas and as one of the local enrollment recruiters.

Dave founded First Rate Investment Systems in 1991 to provide investment analysis software to large investment institutions. The company enjoys a great reputation for experienced staff, innovative solutions, and quality software.

Dave is very committed to community service. He currently serves on the boards of New Beginnings Christian Community, Youth With A Mission/San Diego, Kiwanis International/Arlington, and Turner Twelve/Dallas. He also participates as a teacher and singer in his church, as president of his children's junior high booster club, as Scoutmaster of his boys' troop, and as a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

Dave and his wife live in Arlington, Texas with their three children, two dogs and one cat.  The Stones met during high school in Sumter, South Carolina. After college, they married in 1982. The Stones spent a few months in Atlanta, Georgia before moving to Arlington, Texas in 1983.
